How to play it safe with Online Bingo (Part 2)

March 19, 2010

For I.T. tips and informative guidelines on protecting yourself from possible hackers, start by downloading or purchasing effective quality antivirus software. For inexpensive antivirus software, check out AVG antivirus that offers a free version of the software for users at home. This choice also allows you to be aware of dangerous sites to avoid. The software has a browser plug-in known as Linksafe which checks any links against the database of identified scams.

Ensure that the bingo site you join in respects the privacy of your personal details by trying to encrypt it during signing up. To do this, simply look at the website address shown on the browser indicated on the address bar. Typically you should see something such as: http:///your_website_name_here. Although if the link is being correctly encrypted, it should have an S after http and see something such as: https://your_website_name_here.

If you do not see the S on the http part, the link in not actually encrypted which makes it easy for hackers to see your personal details.

As a whole, it is always best to try online bingo sites you know are safe and recommended by friends or by trusted online bingo review sites.
